More Control Over DirectSound Please
I have all three music packs (less the exclusive one from Special Edition)
I would love to have the following:
- Ability to turn off direct sound
- Ability to have original tracks w/ enhanced versions
- Ability to have original tracks w/ new stuff cycled in
- Anets Current "preset" track
If possible but unlikely it will be implemented, Complete control on customization.
(Could mod please delete the glitch / 2nd post - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=81689)

Just curious...is the premium music pak worth the cost? I've seen a few threads recently showing some discontent with the product...

Depends to be honest I can't tell anymore (and that's part of the problem, why I also want control). I've heard the tracks so many time I psudo tune it out. I tend to hear the same tracks over and over again. I do know there not the orginal scores I use to hear. There is a lot of music I don't hear anymore.

hehehe...I hear you on this. Of course, the music is supposed to add ambiance I think (which tends to become more background in nature with the occastional realization something is playing). Actually, kind of off topic, it's too bad that they don't make a musical score that picks up in intensity as the fight is going on, to pick up the adrenaline and feel the battle pick up. A lot of games are using this technique now...where the music fades wayyyy back when things are chill, but starts picking up as things agro until theres a crecendo effect.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. How much does it cost for the premium pack?

So even with the battle pak, your music is still limited?
That really sucks and should be changed.
Thanks for the tip. It makes me glad i haven't yet purchased the battle pak.
You'd think that ALL music would be at the disposal of the player...especially being a premium customer such as yourself.
Why do ArenaNet/directsong keep so much music and potential under wraps? The game would have so much life if it was made available.
Having premium tracks is one thing...but hiding away music which isn't premium based is really poopy indeed.

Sorrow's Furance is the only *sane* music pack (and it's free). From best that I could tell, it just swap the lower bit rate music with the better sounding music but keeps everything the same tracks. OST is better but throw in the Battle Pack and you get 2-3 same songs looped in too many locations.
